Undergraduate Research

While departments offer undergraduate research opportunities, students need to be proactive in this endeavor. Here are some suggestions for students interested in undergraduate research.The first step is to look at the research interests for faculty members in the department of your concentration (you may also contact your faculty advisor):

Information regarding each faculty member’s research can be found on these sites by click on their names.

Identify a few faculty members whose research is of interest to you. Email them to see if research opportunities are available in their lab.

It may be necessary to contact several faculty members to find a research lab to work in.

Other opportunities may be available through the Office of Undergraduate Research.
